Tell me again—what is an affiliate?
Anyone who refers a buying customer to a retail site is considered an affiliate. By setting up an affiliate page with MonkeyJar, you become an affiliate and are therefore qualified to receive affiliate fees for anyone you refer to a retail site listed on your page, even if it is you.
Why would retailers pay a commission for sales?
Online retail sites would not survive without online customers. Therefore, retailers build affiliate fees into their budgets solely for the purpose of paying referral fees to sites that refer customers to them.
What if I don’t want to refer any of my friends?
No problem. By maintaining your MonkeyJar account, you’re still guaranteed to make cash back on the purchases you personally make. If you never want to have even a single troop member, you don’t have to. It’s that simple.
Can I build a business from MonkeyJar?
You have the opportunity to build as big a troop as you are willing to. The more troop members you have, obviously the more money you will make. While this will not happen overnight, you can potentially build quite a solid business utilizing MonkeyJar. The number of troop members and the amount of commissions earned is entirely up to you!
Will MonkeyJar withhold taxes for me?
As a MonkeyJar jar page owner, should you choose to grow your business, you will be doing it as an independent contractor and will be responsible for arranging payment for your own taxes.
What if I never use my MonkeyJar page, will it expire? Will there be any fees imposed if I don’t use it?
No, your MonkeyJar page will not expire, nor will there be any fees if you choose not to use it. But once you see how quickly your cash back adds up for the purchases you normally make, we bet you won’t let it sit untouched for very long! The bottom line is, if you’re buying travel, tickets, clothing, gas cards—anything online, you can be earning a commission off each purchase for your self-referral.
When will I get my money?
MonkeyJar mails out checks on the fifteenth of every month for the revenue earned during the previous month. In order for the checks to be mailed, you must earn a minimum of $25 through affiliate fees (aka referral commission).
What if I don’t earn a minimum of $25? What happens to my money?
The balance of your account will continually roll over until you make $25, and then you’ll get your check. So if you made $20 the first month, and $15 the second, you’ll get paid after the second month. But if you made $15 the first month, $2 the second, and $8 the third, then you’ll get paid after the third month.
How many levels will I get paid for?
You will get paid up to six levels. What that means is, if you sign up person A, and person A signs up person B, who signs up person C, etc all the way through F – you will get paid for all of the troops people B through F acquire. If person F signs up person G, you will not get paid for person H (the person G signed up).
